Kelsey Layne Descher

Kelsey Layne Descher

Kelsey Layne Descher is the daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Herbert Descher of Ocean Springs and of Ms. April Pucheu Descher of Gulfport. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William

Herbert Descher of Gautier. Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James Porter Pucheu of Gulfport.

Kelsey is a 2021 graduate of St. Patrick Catholic High School where she was on the Principal’s

Honor Roll and graduated with high honors. She was a member of the National Honor Society,

National Spanish Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Gulfport Mayor’s Youth

Council, Emerald Yearbook Staff, St. Patrick Campus Ministry, St. Patrick Emerald Ambassador,

and Student Council. Kelsey served as secretary for the National English Honor Society, Captain of the St. Patrick Varsity Volleyball & Tennis teams, Captain of the Science Olympiad Team,

Fundraising Chair for the Cotillion Club of Gulfport, St. James Vacation Bible School Leader, St.

James LifeTeen Lead Team, and Diocese of Biloxi Spirit Movers. She attended Steven Palazzo

Youth Leadership Summit, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Technology Career

Summit, National Young Leadership Alumni Conference and Global Young Leaders Conference.

Kelsey was awarded the Varsity Volleyball Most Improved Award, the Agnus Dei Award, the St.

Vincent de Paul Award, the Mississippi High School’s Mock Trial Best Witness Award, and

Mississippi Eminent Scholar.

Kelsey is a Senior at Mississippi State University and is cross-enrolled Mississippi University for

Women where she is majoring in Integrated Digital Marketing and Supply Chain Logistics and

Speech-Language Pathology. She is on President’s Honor Roll and on track to graduate from

Mississippi State in May. She is a member of Shakoul’s Honors College, Electus Society,

Cowbell Catholic, FOCUS Missions, and American Marketing Association. Kelsey currently servesas the Vice President for Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society and is the Faith-Based Senator for the Mississippi State Student Association. Kelsey works closely with the marketing department to plan study abroad trips, two of which she has attended: Brands of Italy Study Abroad and Destination Branding: Iceland, Munich, & Prague Study Abroad.

She previously served as the director of membership, chaplain & angel advisor for Pi Beta Phi Sorority and Public Relations Coordinator for The Pro-Life Club. She currently works as an athletic academic proctor at Templeton Athletic Facility. Kelsey plans to attend a masters program in speech language pathology after graduation. She and her family are parishioners at St. James Catholic Church.

Kelsey was a Flag Bearer in 2015. Her father Jeff Descher was a Duke in 2014. Her brother

Breton was a Flag Bearer in 2018. Her uncle Gregg Descher was a Duke in 2012 and 2013. Her

Aunt Meredith Cash Descher was a Maid in 1997. Her cousin Katherine Descher was a page to

Queen Ixolib 2013 and Flag Bearer 2015, her cousin Mary Carlton Descher was a page to Queen

Ixolib 2019 and Flag Bearer in 2022.

Reagan Elizabeth Fairley 

Reagan Elizabeth Fairley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Fairley of Bay St. Louis, MS.  Her maternal grandparents are Mr. Glenn Price and the late Carol Price. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. Eddie Fairley and the late Bettye Fairley.  

Reagan is a graduate of Our Lady Academy in Bay St. Louis.  During her years at OLA she was Captain of the St. Stanislaus cheer squad where she was chosen as an All American Cheerleader and earned the Leadership Award.  She served on the St. Stanislaus Homecoming Court, was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor Society and Alpha Honor Roll.  She was an OLA Ambassador, a member of the retreat team and the Crescent Athletic Club.  She was a member of Diane Desporte Dance Academy for sixteen years, served on the Hancock Youth Leadership Academy program, and was a volunteer for Camp Able.  She was active in Life Teen at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach, where she was chosen as a Youth Representative for the Parish Council. 

Reagan is a senior at the University of Mississippi where she is pursuing a degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority where she served on the Recruitment Team as Reference Chair in 2023 and currently serves as Vice President of Operations.  During her time in Tri Delta, Reagan served as a small group leader, a member on the philanthropy committee and apparel committee. She is a member of the Student Activities Association, Women in Business, Active Minds and Youth Movement Against Alzheimer’s.  Reagan was a 2024 Gulf Coast Debutante.  Reagan served as a Flag Bearer for Gulf Coast Carnival Association in 2017.  Her father, Brent Fairley, served as a Duke in 2014 and 2018.  Her brother, Reed Fairley, served as a Flag Bearer in 2017.  Her brother, Rylan Fairley, served as a Page for King d’Iberville in 2018 and as a Flag Bearer in 2019.

Alexis Marie Lee

Miss Alexis “Lexie” Marie Lee, of Biloxi, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Michael Lee. Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph Dorgan. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Glyn Edward Lee.

Lexie graduated from St. Patrick Catholic High School where she was an active

member of the National Spanish and French Honor Societies, National Honor Society

and National Art Honor Society, where she served as treasurer. She was Captain of

the varsity cheer team, yearbook editor, and Diamond Girl Captain. Lexie was a

member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Students for Life, Cotillion Club of

Gulfport, Interact Club, Save Club and Key Club, where she served as treasurer. She

received the Journalism Award I and II, St. Patrick Cheer Award, UCA All-American

Cheer, Excellence Award of Science, was on the Vice-Principal and Dean Honor Roll

and was a two-year attendee for the March for Life.

Lexie is currently a Senior at the University of Mississippi where she is

pursuing a Bachelor of Marketing and Business Administration while minoring in

Criminal Justice. She has been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll. She was a member of

Alpha Phi sorority where she served on the COB Team and Hospitality team. She is

also, a member of The Lemon Club, Catholic Campus Ministry of St. John, American

Marketing Association and School of Business Administration Club, Ole Miss

yearbook committee, The Grove Grocery, CASA, and RebelTHON. Lexie was

honored to be named a member of The Society of Collegiate Leadership and Achievement Honor Society, The National Society of Leadership and Success, Phi Sigma Pi and recipient of the Cvent Event Diagramming Award.  She volunteers with the Breast Cancer Walk, American Heart Association, Good Will, St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots and the Red Cross Blood Drives. She is a member of St. John Catholic Church in Oxford, Mississippi and a member of Our Lady of Fatima in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Her uncle, David Charles Neumann, served as a duke to King d’Iberville in 2018 and as

dukes’ liaison in 2019. Her cousin, George David Neumann, served as a royal page to King d’Iberville in 2020 and was a flag bearer in 2022. Her cousin, John Arends Neumann, was a royal page to King d’Iberville in 2023 and is a 2025 flag bearer.

Maren Kate Nadolski

Maren Kate Nadolski is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester John Nadolski III of Biloxi, MS.  Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie L. Darden.  Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Chester J. Nadolski II. 

Maren graduated in the top twenty of her class from Biloxi High School in 2021 with highest honors.  She served as Captain of the Biloxi High School Cheer team, was honored with the Strongest Leader and Most Reliable awards and was a member of the National Beta Club.  She also served as secretary for the National Honor Society and was a graduate of the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce Junior Leadership Program.

Maren is a Senior at the University of Mississippi where she is majoring in Allied Health Studies with a  double minor in Chemistry and Biology.  She is on the  Chancellor’s and Dean’s Honor Rolls, is a member of the Tau Chapter of Chi Omega Sorority, serves as a Panhellenic Delegate for the Chi Omega Sorority’s Executive Board, and has been nominated as Campus Favorite.  Maren served as Orientation Leader for the University of Mississippi,  served on Chi Omega’s Recruitment Team, and served on the Chi Omega’s Philanthropy Committee for Make- A- Wish Foundation. She also volunteers for the Grove Grocery , which is a college campus food pantry and is a participant of Rebelthon, to raise money for Children’s of Mississippi Hospital.  After graduation, Maren plans to further her education with a Masters in Biological Sciences prior to attending Medical School.

Maren served as a Flag Bearer in 2017.  Her father Chet Nadolski served as a Duke in 2004.  Her brother Chase served as a Flag Bearer in 2013.  Her sister Stella serves as the 2025 GCCA Key Presenter.

Sophie Jay Schloegel

Sophie Jay Schloegel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Schloegel of Gulfport, MS. Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dubuisson and the late Mr. Kevin Drown. Her paternal grandparents are Mrs. Peggy Schloegel and the late Mr. George A. Schloegel.

Sophie is a 2021 graduate of Gulfport High School where she graduated with distinction. She was a member of the Gulfport High varsity cheer squad and was voted cheer sweetheart her senior year. Sophie was a representative of Gulfport Mayor’s Youth Council and Gabrielle’s Trendsetters. She was also a member of the Cotillion Club of Gulfport where she served as 2021 Spring Ball Chair. She is a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Sophie attends the University of Mississippi where she is studying Integrated Marketing Communications. She is a member of Chi Omega–Tau Chapter and plans to graduate this May. Sophie is recognized as a member of Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, National Society of Leadership and Success, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

Included in her time at Ole Miss, Sophie has studied abroad in Cape Town, South Africa and again in Athens and Santorini Greece.

Sophie’s grandmother, Peggy Schloegel, reigned as Queen Ixolib in 1959. Her grandfather, George A. Schloegel, reigned as King D’Iberville in 1988 and served as a Duke in 1980. Her father, Michael Schloegel, served as a Duke in 2018 and a Royal Page in 1983 and 1988. Her sister, Lily Schloegel, served as a Royal Page in 2017. Her aunt, Melissa Schloegel Marion, reigned as Queen Ixolib in 1983. In addition, Sophie has numerous family members who have served as GCCA Royalty throughout the years. 

Ann Lauren Schmidt

Ann Lauren Schmidt is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Charles Schmidt, Jr. Her maternal grandparents are Ms. Nancy Gollott and Mr. Barry Gollott.  Her paternal grandparents are Ms. Mary Sue Veal and Dr. and Mrs. Richard C. Schmidt, Sr.

Ann Lauren graduated fourth in her class from Biloxi High School in 2022, was a National Merit Scholarship Award recipient and inducted into the Biloxi High School Hall of Fame.  Along with her academic achievements, Ann Lauren participated in many community service organizations such as Gabrielle’s Trendsetters, Biloxi-Ocean Springs Junior Auxiliary Crown Club and served as a Student Representative for the Biloxi Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.  She was a four-year varsity cheerleader at Biloxi High School and a nine-year member of the Kelli’s Steps School of Dance Showstopper competition dance team.

Ann Lauren is currently a junior at Mississippi State University majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Medical Humanities with plans to attend medical school after graduation.  On campus, she is a member of the Shackouls Honors College, MSU Student Association, Fashion Board and serves as a health ambassador for the Jackson Free Clinic.  She is also a member of Phi Mu Sorority where she currently serves as President. Ann Lauren was selected as a 2025 Orientation Leader.  In addition, Ann Lauren was a 2024 member of the Gulf Coast Debutante Society.

Ann Lauren served as a Flag Bearer in 2015, a Page to Queen Ixolib in 2016, and Key Girl in 2022.  Her father, Richard C. Schmidt Jr. served as a Page to Queen Ixolib 1982, and as a Duke in 2009 and 2020. He also served as Lieutenant of Carnival in 2012 – 2013 and Captain of Carnival in 2014-2015.  Her mother, Cecilia Gollott Schmidt, served as a Maid to Queen Ixolib in 1990.  Her brother Jack served as a Flag Bearer in 2007.  Her brother Heath served as a Page to Queen Ixolib in 2012 and as a Flag Bearer in 2013. Her grandfather Dr. Richard C. Schmidt served as a Duke in 1989. Her great-grandfather Dr. Harry J. Schmidt Sr. served as King d’Iberville in 1950. Her Aunt Stacy Mahoney Schmidt served as a Maid to Queen Ixolib in 1990 and served as Queen Ixolib in 1992.  Her uncle Gavin Johnson Schmidt Sr. served as a Duke in 2004, Lieutenant of Carnival in 2006-2007 and Captain of Carnival in 2008-2009.  Her cousin Gavin J. Schmidt Jr. served as a Page to King d’Iberville in 2007 and as a flag bearer in 2012.

Savannah Grace Smith

Savannah Grace Smith, of Gulfport, is the daughter of Donna and David Machado and Robert Smith, Jr.  Her maternal grandparents are Bill & Joan Cravens Massie and Jerry & Vickey Cravens. Her paternal grandparents are Melann & Pat Machado, Ms. Linda Smith, and the late Robert Smith. 

Savannah graduated from St. Patrick Catholic High School where she was an active member of the National English, Spanish, and Science Honor Societies, Diamond Girls, and yearbook staff. She was a member of the varsity cheer, basketball team, and golf team where she served as captain her junior and senior year. Savannah was also a member of the national award-winning Kelli’s Steps Showstoppers and Gem of Champions Competitive Team. She was elected to serve on the Cotillion Club of Gulfport court her senior year. Savannah spent her high school years volunteering with many community service projects including: Feed My Sheep, Boys and Girls Club, and Toys for Tots.

Savannah attends Mississippi State University and is studying Industrial Engineering and Business Administration At Mississippi State, she has been named to the Dean’s list and is a member of the Beta Mu Chapter of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. In the 2023-2024 school year, Savannah served as the Sorority’s Chapter Visitor Correspondent and is currently serving as Chapter Attendance Chairwoman. 

Savannah was chosen to be part of the 2023 Gulf Coast Debutante Society. She has previously contributed to the Access Program as a mentor, where she coached life skills to her college peers with developmental disabilities. Savannah also volunteers each semester at the Mississippi State University TK Martin Center for Technology & Disability.  

Savannah served as a page to Queen Ixolib in 2014, flag bearer in 2016, and Key Girl in 2022.  Her step-father, David Machado, was a duke in 2013, Lieutenant of Carnival in 2016 and 2017, and Captain of Carnival in 2018 and 2019.  Her sister, Addison Machado, was a page to Queen Ixolib in 2022 and a flag bearer in 2023. Savannah’s great-great grandmother, Mary Chinn reigned as Queen Ixolib in 1917. Her great-great grandfather, John Eistetter served as a duke in 1916. Her cousin, Alivia Lechner served as a maid to Queen Ixolib 2024.

Haley Ryen Warren

Haley Ryen Warren of Gulfport is the daughter of Mr. and Ms. Steven Michael Warren of Gulfport. Her maternal grandmother is Ms. Nancy Elizabeth Pepperman. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. Lawrence Wayne Warren and the late Ms. Beverly Joyce Warren.

Haley is a graduate of Gulfport High School, where she graduated with honors and was voted Gulfport High’s Most Beautiful. Haley was a part of the Middle College Program, where she attended her junior and senior years of high school at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, graduating
with her Associate of Arts degree and high school diploma in May of 2021. At MGCCC, Haley was a member of the honor society Phi Theta Kappa and on the homecoming court.

Haley graduated from the University of Mississippi in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Bachelor of Arts in History, and a minor in Korean. At Ole Miss, Haley was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority, where she served on the DEI Committee, served as a Political Senator on the Associated Student Body, a College of Liberal Arts Ambassador, the Social Media Manager of the John Quincy Adams Society, and a Korean Language Table Club member. She also studied Korean at Korea University in Seoul, South Korea. Haley is currently an intern for Senator Roger Wicker.

Haley was a 2023 Gulf Coast Debutante Society member. Haley hopes to attend law school in the fall and is currently interning in Washington, D.C.. She and her family are members of Cedar Lake Church in Biloxi. Haley served as a flag bearer in 2016. Her father, Steven Warren, served as a duke in
