
Brian Walker Sanderson
Brian Walker Sanderson is the husband of Marie Sanderson and father of Thomas, Mary Victoria and George. His mother is Ms. Jane Walker Sanderson.
Brian is a graduate of Resurrection Catholic High School in Pascagoula. He attended the University of Mississippi where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1995 and a Juris Doctor in 1998. Brian was inducted into the University Hall of Fame, served as President of the Law School Student Body, President of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, a member of the Mississippi Law Journal and named Greek Man of the Year.
He is the Founder and President of Three Oak Group, a public policy consulting firm. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy and American Heart Association Gulf Coast Heart Walk Executive Leadership Team. He has served as policy director for the Republican Governors Association and as the President of Gulf Coast Business Council. He was a White House Fellowship National Finalist, named Ole Miss Young Alumni of the Year, served as President of the Mississippi Bar of Young Lawyers Division, the Kiwanis Club of Gulfport, and the Boys & Girls Club of the Gulf Coast. He has been a member of the Ocean Springs Planning Commission, Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Gulfport Gridiron Club. He previously served as chairman of the Jackson County Republican Executive Committee and was a gubernatorial appointee to the Mississippi Business Finance Corporation.
Brian and his family are parishioners at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where he serves as President of the parish council, is a member of the St. Patrick Catholic High School Advisory Council, the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi School Advisory Council and the Knights of Columbus. He also is a member of The Revelers carnival organization and Treasure Oak Country Club.
Brian served as a Duke to King d’Iberville in 2025. His daughter Mary Vic is serving as one of his majesty’s royal pages this year. His son Thomas is serving as a 2026 Flag Bearer.
Sophie Jay Schloegel
Sophie Jay Schloegel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Schloegel of Gulfport, MS. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dubuisson, the late Mr. Kevin Drown, Mrs. Peggy Schloegel and the late Mr. George A. Schloegel.
Sophie is a 2021 graduate of Gulfport High School where she graduated with distinction and was a member of the varsity cheer squad, earning cheer sweetheart her senior year. Sophie was a representative of Gulfport Mayor’s Youth Council and Gabrielle’s Trendsetters. She was a member of Cotillion Club of Gulfport where she served as 2021 Spring Ball Chair and a 2023 member of Gulf Coast Debutante Society.
Sophie earned a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Mississippi in 2025 and is a member of Chi Omega-Tau Chapter. While at Ole Miss, Sophie was recognized as a member of Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, National Society of Leadership and Success, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. She also spent two summers studying abroad in South Africa and Greece. Sophie is currently working in Washington D.C. as special assistant to the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services.
Sophie’s family has long-standing ties to the Gulf Coast Carnival Association. She served as Maid to Queen Ixolib in 2025 and Royal Page to Queen Ixolib in 2016. Her grandmother, Peggy Schloegel, reigned as Queen Ixolib in 1959. Her grandfather, George A. Schloegel, reigned as King D’Iberville in 1988 and served as a Duke in 1980. Her father, Michael Schloegel, served as a Duke in 2018 and a Royal Page in 1983 and 1988. Her sister, Lily Schloegel, served as a Royal Page in 2017. Her aunt, Melissa Schloegel Marion, reigned as Queen Ixolib in 1983. In addition, Sophie has numerous extended family members who have served as GCCA Royalty throughout the years.
