Ann Lauren Schmidt

Ann Lauren Schmidt resides in Biloxi with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Charles Schmidt Jr., and her brothers, Jack and Heath.  She is a senior at Biloxi High School where she is an honors student and holds leadership positions in several clubs.  She has been named a National Merit Semifinalist and will graduate in the top 1% of her class in May.  Along with her many academic achievements, Ann Lauren is involved in her community through several service organizations such as Gabrielle’s Trendsetters and Biloxi-Ocean Springs Junior Auxiliary Crown Club and serves as a Student Representative for the Biloxi Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.  She is a four year varsity cheerleader at Biloxi High School and a nine year dancer at Kelli’s Steps School of Dance where she competes on the national award winning Kelli’s Showstoppers team and interns for the Little Steps dance program.

Ann Lauren plans to attend Mississippi State University in the fall to major in Biomedical Engineering with a goal of attending medical school after graduation.  Ann Lauren served as a Flagbearer in 2015 and a Page to Queen Ixolib Kimberley Rushton Wilson in 2016.  Her father served as a Page to Queen Ixolib Jata Munro in 1982, a Duke to King D’Iberville Rick Carter in 2009 and a Duke to King D’Iberville Johnny Atherton in 2020.  He also served as Lieutenant Captain in 2012 – 2013 and Captain in 2014-2015.  Her mother, Cecilia Gollott Schmidt, served as a Maid to Queen Ixolib Elisa Joachim Radich in 1990.  Her brother Jack served as a Flagbearer in 2007.  Her brother Heath served as a Page to Queen Ixolib Analeise Brashier in 2013 and as a Flagbearer in 2014. Her grandfather Dr. Richard C. Schmidt served as a Duke in 1989. Her great-grandfather Dr. Harry J. Schmidt Sr. served as King d’Iberville in 1950.

SAVANNAH GRACE SMITH

Savannah Grace Smith of Gulfport is the daughter of Donna and David Machado and Robert Smith, Jr.  Her maternal grandparents are Bill & Joan Cravens Massie and Jerry & Vickey Cravens. Her paternal grandparents are Melann & Pat Machado, Ms. Linda Smith, and the late Robert Smith. 

She graduated from St. Patrick Catholic High School where she was an active member of the National English, Spanish, and Science Honor Societies, Diamond Girls, and yearbook staff. She was a member of the varsity cheer, basketball team, and golf team where she served as captain her junior and senior year. She was also a member of the national award-winning Kelli’s Steps Showstoppers and Gem of Champions Competitive Team. She was elected to serve on the Cotillion Club of Gulfport court her senior year. Savannah volunteers with many community service projects including Feed My Sheep, Boys and Girls Club, and Toys for Tots. 

Savannah is currently attending Mississippi State University planning to major in Business Administration. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta Beta Mu Chapter.

Savannah served as a page to Queen Ixolib in 2014 and a flag bearer in 2016.  Her father, David Machado, was a duke in 2013 and captain in 2018 and 2019.  Her sister, Addison Machado, is a page to Queen Ixolib this year.
